Torben Ulrich, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT - Director/Owner
Dr Torben Ulrich is a native of California. He has spent much of his physical therapy career specializing in orthopedic sports medicine. He is a 1990 graduate of Fresno State University with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology. Following Fresno State, Torben earned his Associate's degree at Loma Linda University in the Physical Therapy Assistant program. He then traveled to Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 1995 and earned his Bachelor's in Physical Therapy. In 1997, he returned to the United States as a licensed physical therapist where he worked in an orthopedic and sports therapy center in Florida. While in Florida he served on the medical team for the Walt Disney World Marathon, College Golf Match Play Championship, and the Hubbard Street Dance Corporation. In 1998 he continued his pursuit of clinical excellence through his work with the Ola Grimsby Institute completing a two-year residency program specializing in orthopedic manual therapy of the spine and extremities leading to a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and conducting such research projects as comparing the effects of two different types of therapeutic exercise on rotator cuff impingement syndrome.
Dr. Ulrich returned to the Ola Grimsby institute in 2006 and earned fellowship status with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Dr. Ulrich is the owner of Integrated Physical Therapy Services Inc in Yuba City, California and a faculty member with FIOMPT Physical Therapy providing Orthopedic Manual Therapy lectures/courses and certifications. He is committed to keeping abreast of current research and ideas to assure his patients are being provided the latest in scientific & evidence based physical therapy innovations.
Ricardo Morales, MPT
Ricardo is a California native. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy from California State University Sacramento. While enrolled in the graduate program, he received Summa Cum Laude honors and helped conduct a research project comparing the effects of ankle positions during bridging exercises on hip, thigh, and trunk muscle activity. He began his career in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Sacramento treating post-operative conditions, sports injuries, acute/chronic conditions, and work conditioning. Ricardo has a passion for orthopedic physical therapy while striving to provide excellent patient care to reach his patients individual goals and highest level of function. He plans to continue his professional development through the latest evidence based physical therapy courses and certifications. Ricardo speaks fluent Spanish.
In his spare time, Ricardo enjoys golfing, playing soccer, weightlifting, hiking and spending time with his friends and family.
Steve Carmack, DPT
Steven is a Yuba-Sutter native, growing up in Sutter and attending Sutter High where he was a multisport athlete. He received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology at California State University, Chico. When Steven decided he wanted to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist, he began shadowing with Dr. Ulrich. He valued the patient-oriented attitude and detailed decision making that he observed at Integrated Physical Therapy. After graduating, he returned to Sutter and began working as a Physical Therapy Aide in Colusa, CA. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. For his final clinical rotation Steven spent 8 weeks working closely with Dr. Ulrich to further develop his examination and therapeutic exercise skills. Steven is excited to be a member of such a fine practice, and Steven and wife welcomed their first child in January 2017.
Steven got married in 2013 and both he and his wife are excited to be back in the Yuba-Sutter area. In his spare time, Steven enjoys competing in triathlons, camping, hiking, and spending time with his family. Steven looks forward to becoming a member of such an outstanding practice.
Cody Berger, PTA
Cody grew up in California. He received is Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Sacramento. After graduating he went on to work as a Physical Therapy Aide in the Sacramento Area. Wanting to further his education in the field of Physical Therapy, Cody applied to and was accepted into the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Sacramento City College, where he graduated in May of 2017. Cody looks forward to advancing his knowledge and skill set in the Physical Therapy setting and strives to give each individual the best treatment possible.
Cody married his wife Nicole in 2012, and in 2013 they welcomed their first child - their daughter Laurelai. In 2016, they welcomed their second child, their son Easton. In his spare time, Cody enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and camping
Delia - Office Administrator
Delia was born and raised in Fresno California, She became interested in the Medical field 20 years ago as a Front Office Administrator Manager for a busy medical office in Colusa, She then relocated to a medical office in Yuba City, where she continued her front office duties. In 2007 Delia joined Integrated Physical Therapy Inc. as the Front Office Administrator. Delia speaks fluent Spanish and provides all technical support to the staff. Delia is married with two children who now are married, with four grandchildren. Delia enjoys people, so therefore she enjoys her job. She enjoys working out at The Yuba City Racket Club.
Her hobbies are playing volleyball, jogging and walking.
Therese - Administrator, Integrated Physical Therapy Tharp Location
Therese and her family re-located to Sutter in 2004 from Antioch, California. After high school, Therese moved from Chico to the Bay Area, where she met her husband, Doug. In 1996, they welcomed handsome twin boys, Jason and Justin. The boys are graduates of Sutter High and attending Yuba College.
In her spare time, Therese enjoys watching Doug and Justin play tennis and watching Jason perform in local drama productions. Therese has been an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America certified Group Exercise Instructor for 25+ years. She has taught many different types of classes: including Step, Basic Training, Hi/Low Impact, and Strength Training. Since 2007, Therese has worked part-time as a receptionist at Weight Watchers.
After a long hiatus from working full-time, Therese decided to pursue full-time employment and the opportunity to work for IPTS presented itself. Therese is excited for this new adventure and is thrilled to be a part of this team.
Brenda - Administrator Assistant
Brenda is a Yuba-Sutter native, growing up in Yuba City, she attended Yuba City High School. She received a AA Degree in Business, at Heald College. After College she began working as a front Office Administrator/Manager for 10 years at a Physical Therapy office in the Yuba-Sutter area. Brenda joined our team at IPTS in April of 2015. She is married with two grown children and one granddaughter.
